Phil Wagner, the editor/publisher of Iconoclast gives this review:  "...It's like "On the Road" -- without leaving town -- ...Those who think the original Bohemian life is history ... should give the book a read for instructive purposes.  Mr. Stettner is honest and direct about himself and others -- and forceful in his opinions -- but in return we receive the benefit of his warm and generous nature, his openness, joy of life and discovery ...

David Willems had this comment:  "... just wanting to thank this person for writing such an "alive" book.  Indeed, I hadn't felt such a zest for life from literature since Henry Miller."

Irving has passed on, but his books and watercolors still live.  This may be your last chance to enjoy the writing and art of Irving Stettner.
